Fed: Skilled vacancies flat in April: DEWR=2

Annually, vacancies for professionals and associate professionals were down -- 21.7per cent and 4.7 per cent respectively -- while trade vacancies rose by 34.4 per cent.

Skilled vacancies increased for eight of the 18 occupational groups in April.

Skilled vacancies in April fell in Victoria by 3.2 per cent, New South Wales by 1.2per cent, Tasmania by 0.4 per cent and the Northern Territory by 0.8 per cent.

Vacancies rose in South Australia by 5.2 per cent, Queensland by 0.9 per cent and WesternAustralia by 1.0 per cent.
